These short courses are accredited by two of the leading bodies for management professionals, the CMI, Chartered Management Institute and the ILM, Institute of Leadership & Development. The Introductory Certificate in Management is a 30 hour programme which provides a solid introduction to the basic principles and practices of good management. On completion of this qualification you will know how to:

• Prepare and carry out a development plan for yourself.
• Identify customer needs.
• Gather, analyse and communicate information effectively.
• Set objectives, identify resources required, prepare a plan (taking due account of any relevant major legal issues) and monitor it.
• Establish good working relationships with others.
• Assist others to develop and address performance problems.

The programme includes Assessment, full Learning Support and all course materials.
The Certificate has Level 3 accreditation. CMI accreditation is in association with SMALE Consulting Ltd and ILM is in association with The Training & Learning Company.   £1749 plus VAT.

The Introductory Diploma in Management is a 45 hour programme suitable for managers with some experience, perhaps gained at Certificate level.

On completion of this qualification you will know how to:

• Prepare and carry out a personal development plan, with particular emphasis on management style and on working with others.
• Analyse information, make a recommendation and present it effectively.
• Identify and plan to meet at least one stakeholder requirement, including specifying the required resources (physical / financial).
• Specify the personnel required to meet a specified objective.
• Promote one of the following - quality, health & safety or continuous Improvement,  taking account of any relevant legal requirements.
• Assist others to develop.
• Address poor performance.
